Neuromotor Learning and Control Scientist, Fight Director

Brandon Brockshus is an assistant professor of kinesiology at Louisiana Tech University where he directs the Motor Learning Lab. He earned his PhD in kinesiology with minors in statistics and neuroscience at Iowa State University and is a recognized Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) Actor/Combatant. Dr. Brockshus has served as fight director for Iowa Stage Theater Company, Shot in the Dark Productions, Will Do Films, Human Combat Chess, Iowa State University, Central College, Drake University, Morningside University, Simpson College, Des Moines Area Community College – Ankeny, and Iowa high schools. His research centers on motor learning of stage combat skills with ancillary interest in imagination, memory, and spatial processing of human movement. He lives in Ruston, Louisiana with his wife, daughter, and son.
