The Motor Learning Laboratory at Louisiana Tech University serves to investigate the acquisition, re-acquisition, and improvement of motor skills. The space is flexible and adaptable to the needs of current projects. Topics of interest include working memory of human movement, spatial processing, imagination, target interception, gait, posture, and motor learning of stage combat skills.
Research Participants Wanted
Study of Linear Footwork in Stage Combat
We are currently seeking participants for the Study of Linear Footwork in Stage Combat. Participants will spend between 60 and 90 minutes in Memorial Gym, Ruston, Louisiana. They will be instructed on stage combat footwork techniques, and then their movements will be recorded using a 3D motion capture infrared camera system.
You may be eligible if:
– Age 18 – 34
– No physical or learning disability
– Either
+ You have NO experience teaching stage combat
OR
+ You have a scene ready for Skills Proficiency Testing
